Know Your bRoad Signs U.K.
Before the U.S. verison of the poster came the original and first of the "Know Your" series, the "Know Your Road Signs", there was no UK designation then as it was the only road sign poster on the rosta.
I didn't contribute every single one, some were winning entries by Viz, a popular UK adult 'comic'. However it was inspired by the trend we had started with our first poster the Takischitt Colour Chart. Take a graphic and subvery or alter its meaning with it's title. The difference here was we started to subtly alter the original road signs to add humour to their meaning. I didn't think it would be as powerful but as it was only a few on the whole poster it would be interesting to see if it worked. The answer to that was yes, it did, or rather it certainly didn't hurt sales, and was proven as the way to go when we did the Know Your Road Signs U.S version, where we customised more of the sign icons to suit the gags and sold lots of lovely posters to our ex-colonial cousins. |

Below are some samples from the poster, of course the actual prints are much clearer on the finished products.

Companies who've stocked and sold my products: Harrods, Bentalls, WH Smith, Woolworths, New Look, Virgin, Our Price (as was), HMV, and many other independent and regional high street retailers worldwide.
If you have outlets for this type of student humour product and would like to discuss the possibility of adding these proven designs to your catalogue or rosta of products then please do get in touch to discuss licensing in all formats and on all products. For original designs that are guaranteed to scandalise, humorise and polarize then you definitely want to buy, license or stock Takischitt products.
